How long does it take to write a new resume?
Depending on our daily workload and your specific requirements, a resume typically takes less than a day to build from scratch. We can often turn it around in a matter of hours. What information do I need to provide?
The information we need from you depends on the specific purpose of your resume, and the type of work you are seeking. In general, we collect the following types of information:
- your target career (or job, if this is a job-specific resume)
- your goal statement, for certain types of resume
- your contact information
- any past resumes that you have used, if available
- your educational history, with any certificates, degrees, diplomas, or partially completed programs
- your work history identifying key roles, responsibilities, challenges, demonstrated skills, and working environments
- your skills, with information about skill level, demonstrated use of each skill, and how each skill relates to your target career
- coordinates for your online portfolio or online work products, if applicable
- hobbies and interests, for certain types of resume
- references, if you choose to include them
Do you prepare resumes in languages other than English?
We can help you with resumes in any Roman or Cyrillic alphabet language by assisting in the visual layouts and formats (a very important and often overlooked aspect of resume construction). However, we write and edit resume content only in English.
