Recursive editing Recursive editing is an option suitable for customers with extremely mission-critical materials. During a recursive edit, the editor performs a mechanical or copy edit once and then returns an interim edit to the customer. The editor then returns to the document at a later time to re-edit, ensuring that any corrections missed during the first edit are caught. For certain types of content, a third or fourth recursive edit may be advisable. Since standard InternetEdit rates are based on a single-pass edit, recursive editing may be significantly more expensive. To decide whether you require recursive editing, review our quality of service (QOS) standards. These QOS standards indicate the coverage provided during single-pass editing. A single-pass edit meets the needs of most of our customers. For more information about recursive editing, or to request a quote, please contact us. |
