Example of InternetEdit rates

InternetEdit usually applies per-word rates for some services, such as mechanical or copy editing. However, some of our services cannot be standardized on a per-word or per-page basis.

For example, the cost of APA format compliance checking varies wildly depending on the complexity of the document and its APA elements. A simple 10-page student paper with minimal APA elements (cover page, a brief abstract and reference page, and minimal citations) might be APA checked for as little as USD $12, if combined with a mechanical or copy edit. At the other extreme, an APA check of a 40-page dissertation with complex APA elements might cost might cost $240, if requested without an edit.

A rule of thumb for the cost of format checks on short, simple documents is our minimum fee: USD $25.00. For longer documents that have few special format requirements, you're probably looking at $1 per page. For more complex documents, take a rough word count and divide it by 100 to get the probable cost of your APA format check.
