Academic rules and policies InternetEdit is conscious of the issues that surround the commercial editing of academic materials. In many educational environments, students are assessed not only on content, but on their ability to communicate that content. The use of any writing assistance, including peer cooperation and third-party editing, may be considered by the educational institution to be a form of cheating. InternetEdit is not in a position to enforce the policies of individual educational institutions, and we must rely on our academic clients to ensure that they are not violating those policies. Before requesting an edit of your academic materials, ensure that you are familiar with your institution's policies on editing. While InternetEdit's confidentiality policies protect your work and your identity, we urge you not to abuse that confidentiality in situations where you may be violating your agreements with your institution. InternetEdit does perform editing of journalistic content, but will not perform edits of academic submissions in journalism, public relations, or any other subject area where the ability to communicate is itself the primary focus of assessment.
